UAE second-agent map for medical makers

Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2024 and the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) move the UAE away from one exclusive agent per medical product. Since February 2026 the EDE expects more than one authorised agent for each medical product. It has not yet issued a circular on how many agents, or by when.

Most foreign makers have one UAE agent today. In the part of the EDE public register we could read on 19 October 2026, 252 of 267 foreign manufacturers listed exactly one UAE supplier.

A note on the data

The EDE public register is being reloaded: on 19 October 2026 it listed 1,179 products, far fewer than earlier in the year. Before we take payment we check that the register and the other UAE sources cover your category, and tell you if they do not.
